Richard Ison

Richard Ison, as a Non‑Executive Director and Strategic Advisor, supports Rotation Group’s global Overhaul & Repair and Field Service & Engineering business units.

With extensive experience in marine and industrial gas turbine operations, Richard is no stranger to the industry. He previously held senior management roles at Air New Zealand, focusing on maintenance and engineering. In 2002, he established Air New Zealand Gas Turbines (ANZGT) to service GE Marine & Industrial engines, successfully serving a global customer base as an overhaul and repair depot inducting over 50 LM engines per year.

After a 30‑year career at Air New Zealand, Richard became an independent consultant, with Rotation Group among his clients. After supporting Rotation Group as COO following the acquisition of Maddex Turbine Services, Richard has transitioned to an advisory and governance role, following the opening of the company’s third facility located in Auckland, New Zealand.
